Valve has just launched Steam's annual Winter Sale, which offer a variety of game deals. It also comes with initial votings for the first-ever Steam awards.

Steam's Winter Sale 2016 will run until 1 p.m. Eastern Time on Jan. 2. Some notable game deals include Hyper Light Drifter for $11.99 (40% off), Cities: Skylines for $7.49 (75% off), Doom for $19.79 (67% off), Stardew Valley for $9.99 (33% off), Just Cause franchise sale (up to 75% off), Mortal Kombat XL for $13.59 (66% off), Street Fighter 5 2017: Deluxe Edition for $47.28 (57% off), Tom Clancy's The Division for $24.99 (50% off), and Watch Dogs 2 for $40.19 (33% off), Polygon reported.

According to Engadget, the full list of discounted game titles range from big names like Tom Clancy's The Division to classics like Baldur's Gate II, as well as some new indie titles like Hyper Light Drifter. There are also some hardware deals available, just like what Valve had during the Steam Summer Sale. Players can get a Steam Link for $20, which is 60% off of the original price. As if the deal can't get any better, a Steam controller is then added; the whole package is available for only $50. On the other hand, there is the possibility of unavailable HTC Vive deals in this sale.

Meanwhile, the initial voting for the first-ever Steam Awards also went live today. For the next 24 hours, Steam users can vote on the first 12 awards. And instead of blog-standard awards like "Best Action Game," Valve have put in bizarre categories such as "Villain Most in Need of a Hug" and "Best Use of a Farm Animal" awards. The nomination period ran from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29. Valve will give out awards for the winners before the year ends.
