Samsung Notebook 9: Newly Improved With Powerful Internal Specs & Sleek Design; Lightest Laptop Weighing At Only 1.8 Pounds [VIDEO]
Portia Mae M. CansancioSouth Korea-based phone company Samsung has just unveiled its newly enhanced and improved Samsung Notebook 9, which is now lighter, sleeker, and further boosted by the Intel i7 Kaby Lake processor. Samsung also claims that once it is available in the market, it would be the lightest laptop in history.
The upcoming Notebook 9 comes with two screen variants, a 13.3-inch and a 15-inch. Both variants have a 1920 x1080p screen resolution with thinner and lighter bodies and runs on Windows 10. In addition, both now have Seventh Generation (Kaby Lake) Intel CPUs --- Core i7 for the 15-inch model, while either Core i5 or i7 for the 13.3-inch model.
The 15-inch notebook's dimensions are 348 x 229 x 14.9mm and weighs 2.17lbs, whereas the 13.3-inch laptop measures 310 x 208 x 13.9mm and only weighs 1.8lbs --- making it the lightest, highly portable laptop in the market. It also has an ultra-slim bezel around the screen, which gives it a near edge-to-edge display and a premium look. Both variants get an FHD display as well, which offers an outdoor mode and a clearer view in bright conditions, according to TOP TECH NEWS.
Furthermore, the Notebook 9 variants come with a single Type-C USB port, two 3.0 USB ports, an HDMI port, and a microSD slot; however, the USB 2.0 port is only available for the 15-inch model. The Type-C USB allows the Notebook 9 to be fully charged in only 80 minutes. Users can even just charge it for 20 minutes and already suffice 2.1 hours worth of usage. Samsung assures that the Notebook 9 have seven hours of battery life, which is complimented by its quick-charge feature.
Other notable features of the Notebook 9 include a backlit keyboard, an envelope-sized body, and a fingerprint scanner. It also makes it less of a clone for Apple's other notebook models since Notebook 9 has a gray and silver shade, iTECH POST reported.
Reportedly, pre-orders for the upcoming Samsung Notebook 9 would begin next week thru the company's online store. The 13.3-inch model will cost $1,500, while the 15-inch model will be sold for $1,590.
