New Christmas-Themed Emblems For ‘Halo 5’ Are Now Available; Giveaway Is Only Available During Holiday Season

Bryan Ke

Christmas day may have already passed but the gift giving season is still on going for some of the latest Triple-A games today. The latest one, so far, to have released a Holiday-themed content is game developer 343 Industries for its popular first-person shooter franchise installment "Halo 5: Guardians."

According to the developer's Twitter post last week, fans who will play "Halo 5: Guardians" during the Holiday season are going to receive two new emblems: the Spartan Claus and Candy Cane.

For the players who like to collect emblems, this is the best time to jump in on the fun as the Holiday-themed emblems in "Halo 5: Guardians" are only available for a limited time. As for when it will end, though, sadly, 343 Industries did not reveal anything specific aside from the fact that the event will only run during the "Holiday season."

Given the time frame, it would be same to assume that the "Halo 5: Guardians" event would most likely run from Christmas up to the New Year, as speculated by GameSpot. There is still no clarification, though, coming from 343 Industries. That being said, it's best to just wait for further announcements.

Meanwhile, fans who still don't have a copy of "Halo 5: Guardians" can now purchase one at a discounted price. The game is now being offered in the Microsoft store for only $24 - it was previously priced at $40, which will save the buyer around $16.

However, enthusiasts who have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription can have an even more amazing deal for the game; active members can get the title for only $20.

The offer will only run for the week and only for the base game. Those who are willing to spend some extra bucks can also purchase the "Halo 5: Guardians - Deluxe Edition," which is now discounted to $42 from its MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $70.
