The Holidays, especially Christmas, has really awakened the spirit of gift-giving. While individuals are busy giving gifts and spreading goodwill to mankind, the digital, gaming world is not to be outdone. Several game developers and companies are giving in to the Christmas rush and offers exclusive bonuses to gamers. Electronic Arts' "Battlefield 1" Holiday Event is one of the top holiday games this season.

In the "Battlefield 1" Holiday Event, players are given access to free materials and items. In the popular first-person shooter game from EA, players introduced to limited game items such as the Legendary Desert Gold, Distinguished Schnuck and Battlepacks.

According to reports, "Battlefield 1" Holiday Event starts off by giving away free Holiday Truce dog tags. For players to qualify for the free Holiday Truce dog tag, they only ned to log in during the event period, which is from December 22 to December 29.

"Battlefield 1" Holiday Event begins with a new game mode coined as Blind Delivery. The said game mode is not very new for the old-time players as it is considered to be a variant of the War Pigeons game mode.

There's one small catch though - the mini map is reportedly removed in the Blind Delivery mode. This makes it more challenging and difficult for the players to locate and find pigeons on the field. Additionally, the weapons in the new game mode limit the players to selected handguns and explosives, which means that they have to increase their strategic game plan to succeed.

"Battlefield 1" Holiday event has been giving out free Battlepacks since the game commenced on December 23. Premium Pass players can receive up to two Superior Battlepacks which they can avail up to December 29.

As of writing, there have been reports that "Battlefield 1" has been experiencing some downtime as the servers went offline. Hopefully, EA Games can fix the servers trouble so players can get back to enjoying the Holiday Event.
