Retailer eBay is one of the best websites to buy and sell collectibles, electronics, sporting goods and everything else, as it offers around one billion items on the catalogue. Although the 2016 is not yet over, the e-commerce company has already released the list of the most expensive stuff bought online.

Topping the list is a lunch with Warren Buffet worth $3.45 million. The power lunch is part of an annual charity auction for the benefit of a non-profit organization Glide, which caters to the needs of the poor and homeless. Another charity listing includes a 2016 Ironman World Championship slot worth $45,300.

CNET reports that the most expensive car sold on eBay is a used 2016 Lamborghini Aventador for $659,800. This bright green sports car has already ran 931 miles, and was sold by Chicago Motor Cars in September. According to the listing, there are only 186 Aventador SV Roadsters in the US, making this sports car one of the rarest.

Collectibles cards are popular, especially if they are from 1979. The highest-priced sports trading card is a Wayne Gretzky rookie card from O-Pee-Chee worth $29,701. Though not the rarest fantasy trading card, "Magic: The Gathering" was sold for $32,201.

The most expensive watch sold on eBay in 2016 is a Patek Philippe Grand Complications Calatrava Pilot 5524G that costs $64,995. Tiffany & Co. sold the highest-priced jewellery -- a platinum round diamond solitaire ring with VS1 clarity for $60,000.

If you are a football fan, you will definitely be drooling over four Carolina Panthers lifetime season tickets. The $43,500 ticket includes two parking passes in a suite at Bank of America Stadium.

Some items you think consumers might not buy on eBay are 2014 Kubota KX080 excavator for $85,000 and a concession pizza trailer worth $32,500. Bloomberg reported that Devin Wenig, eBay chief executive officer, plans to attract 100 million new shoppers. He said that he wants eBay to excel in areas where Amazon lags.
