AMD Releases A Teaser Trailer For Its Upcoming Vega GPU Architecture
Cores Grace MalaayEveryone has been waiting for AMD's upcoming Radeon graphics card architecture and it looks like more details will be revealed soon. On Jan. 1, AMD's social media outlets dropped a teaser as a countdown for its new Vega GPU architecture, the ‘After the Uprising' teaser trailer video.
According to PC World, AMD's new Ve.ga website features the countdown for the new Vega architecture preview. The clock begins on Jan. 5 at 9 AM ET, which is the start date of CES 2017.
AMD has only teased a short HBM2 being highlighted on the GPU roadmap for its Vega GPU since March 2016 but the long wait for more details of Vega will soon be over. AMD has also created a Radeon Technologies Group Facebook page encouraging fans to ‘join the rebellion.'
According to Tweak Town, AMD has started project since 2015 beginning the marketing of Polaris and went on in 2016 with the Radeon Rebellion setting in motion. Now, it continues with Vega GPU architecture and revealing more details of the Ryzen in December 2016, which is possibly AMD's best chip family in ten years, is just a perfect timing.
The Radeon RX 480, RX 470 and RX 460 graphics cards that are based on AMD's cutting-edge 14nm Polaris GPU architecture with mainstream performance as its focal point weren't able to champion with NVidia's powerful GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080. Because of this, fans are thrilled with AMD's Vega GPU.
Ryzen, on the other hand, is set to launch in Q1 with Vega sometime in the first half of 2017. AMD has also secured over ten percent of the GPU market share in 2016 and another ten percent is expected for 2017, which brings AMD a 40 percent of the dGPU market.
