Technical innovations come with their own advantages and threats. In the latest news and updates regarding the messaging app, WhatsApp, it has recently surfaced that hackers are continuously attacking smartphone users with the latest strata of the mobile virus. This virus is being transmitted through legitimate appearing Excel and Word documents that are sent through WhatsApp. These files steal important information from users and also include banking details and other financial and personal data.

However, typically this kind of malware targets Google's Android. Currently, this kind of virus attack reports have only be reported to happen in the Indian sub-continent. But as reported by Daily Mail UK, it won't be long before the hack may be replicated in other countries as well. Hackers are posing as legitimate government institutions in order to ruse the smartphone users into clicking the attachment.
