"Destiny" Sparrow Racing is now available in private matches. Even though The Dawning is officially over, "Destiny" players can still enjoy Sparrow Racing.

GameRant revealed that the "Destiny" winter live event, The Dawning, officially ended on Jan. 3, 2017. The Dawning featured Sparrow Racing League, three remastered Strikes and Strike Scoring. Fans initially thought that Sparrow Racing ended with the event, but fans were delighted to know that they can still race their personal vehicles against other players through "Destiny" private matches.

To play Sparrow Racing in "Destiny" private matches, go to the Crucible menu from the Director then go to the node under the middle line of playlists to reach the private matches menu. "Destiny" players have to set the map before the game mode to access Sparrow Racing. Next, go to maps and choose a proper map for Sparrow Racing. There will be four tracks available, namely Infinite Descent, Campus Martius, Haakon Precipice and Shining Sands. Choosing one of the maps will make Sparrow Racing available in the game mode drop down menu.

Furthermore, player can still complete the Competitive Spirit Record Books and Quests related to Sparrow Racing League in "Destiny" by playing the mode in private matches. Players who were not able to finish these during The Dawning can continue, with the aid of friends.

GamingBolt stated that Sparrow Racing in private matches also provided some options for players like setting the lap counter from three to seven laps and changing the time of day. The enemies will depend on the map. SRL quests cannot be advanced in private matches, but players can still finish tasks from the Record Book. Bungie stated that the Competitive Spirit Record dBook can be completed via SRL private matches. However, the Year Two Record Book is no longer available.

Aside from Sparrow Racing, other activities from The Dawning also remained in "Destiny" such as Strike Scoring in the Nightfall, SIVA Crisis Heroic and SIVA Crisis playlists. The Treasures of the Dawning, Elite Vanguard and Zavala's Vanguard bounties are still present. "Destiny" players can get one free treasure by completing their first Heroic Strike of the week.

"Destiny: Rise of Iron" is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More updates and details on Sparrow Racing are expected soon.
