Nintendo Switch Game Stream Announced; Live Streaming Scheduled On January 13
Keisuke AkioNintendo just declared that it would live stream an extraordinary Treehouse Live presentation at 9:30 a.m. EST on January 13. The live event will take place just hours after the Nintendo Switch press conference in Tokyo.
On its Twitter account, Nintendo of America shared that it will stream on Treehouse an in-depth look at upcoming games that will be featured on the Nintendo Switch Presentation on January 12. The company, however, did not specify if the Treehouse Live event will only showcase launch titles or other games that will be available on the console throughout the rest of 2017. The upcoming January 13 Treehouse Live event will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch.
Among the most prevalent speculations at present is about "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" launching in March along with the Nintendo Switch, according to Gamespot. Previously, it was reported that the game might not be able to launch because of localization issues. In addition, it was said that the console launch title might instead be the "Super Mario" game.
Nintendo assures fans that on the Tokyo presentation, it will give out the precise release date, pricing and launch titles. The Tokyo press event starts at 8 p.m. ET and will be available for viewing with English voice-overs on Nintendo.com. After the webcast, there will be a hands-on experience for investors and members of the press in New York City on Jan.13. The Nintendo Switch will be accessible to the public for the first time in New York on January 15.
Moreover, Nintendo gave the list of cities and the corresponding dates for the Nintendo Switch preview tour across the US. Nintendo Switch is scheduled for a preview in Washington D.C. between February 10 and 12. It will also be available in Chicago between February 17 and19, in San Francisco between February 24 and 26 and in Los Angeles between March 3 and 5. The company will also conduct a preview session in Toronto, Canada on January 27 to January 29.
