Apple Changes To IGZO Display In 2017? Airpods Release Date Delayed To 2017
RommelApple IGZO Display is the new thing for 2017, according to sources close to the big tech company. The changes are currently being prepared as well as the material to be employed in creating displays for Apple Macbook Pro computers. The company based in Cupertino is looking into using the indium gallium zinc oxide or the IGZO displays they want to adapt before the year 2017 ends.
IGZO displays have been circulating the tech world for a few years already. The first manufacturing company to start production of the IGZO displays for its array of LCD panels was Sharp. They used the technology in 2012 for their television screens. In November 2013, experts thought Apple used it for the iPad Air released that year; the speculation is real and now, the rumors of it happening are becoming more and more vivid by the moment. They are to utilize the IGZO for laptops, indeed.
According to reports, both Samsung and Sharp will be starting supply for IGZO displays for Apple as soon as Quarter 2 of 2017 commences. The company presently employs amorphous silicon panels for the MacBook Pro however, it is most likely to be changed before the year ends. The reason behind is that fact that the new IGZO display has better conductivity to electricity, which is a big advantage from past technologies.
It is also much more transparent so the backlight of the system need not work as hard so that it can provide a bright and vivid image. Apparently, the result of this lesser power requirement in displaying good quality picture. Thus, making good competition.
In lieu of Apple's commitment to a refresh of the MacBook Pro for next year, this is the right timing for IGZO to come in - however, it is hard to find out if it will actually be implemented this time. Possibly, an upgraded screen will be used for the first iteration of the laptop and no outright changes to the entire sign will be employed from its original state in 2016. Looks like Apple has big plans for their products this year, particularly, MacBook Pro.
A new version of a MacBook pro will be a welcome addition this year, especially with IGZO display. An incremental update would be really boring for the business. Meanwhile, Apple Airpods release date is delayed for 2017. Watch it here:
