Samsung Galaxy S7 Nougat Update Is Being Rolled Out To A Few Users
Cris Xander JulianoAs part of the beta program by Samsung, a few Galaxy S7 users already received the Nougat update as they try out the latest version of Android and provide feedback for improvements. However, Samsung finished the said beta program last month and would release the official update in January, according to a report by mobipicker.
A selected number of Galaxy S7 users will receive the Nougat update as Samsung is conducting a soak test for the planned roll-out of the official update. This could be the final build as the company has no more plans of releasing any more beta builds. Including in this update is a January security patch that addressed 67 common vulnerabilities and exposures, and also security fixes for Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 835.
According to a report by neurogadget, The Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be straight to Android 7.1.1, as announced by Samsung in response to a beta program member that suggests updating to the latest software.
