'Call of Duty' 2017 Update: Sledgehammer Games May Have Dropped This Major Spoiler On Next Installment

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" was released in 2015 courtesy of Treyarch and published by Activision. This was followed by "Infinite Warfare" produced by another video game company Infinity Ward and was launched only last year.
Avid gamers and fans alike already know that Sledgehammer is working on the "Call of Duty" 2017 edition of the series. However, aside from that fact, there is very little information about gameplay, so enthusiastic players are on the move again in an effort to uncover hints or any details they can find about the game.
Through their hard work, it appears that some were able to find clues and they discovered it in an unlikely place. In this case, fans said that through Sledgehammer's official Twitter account, they spotted at least one hint about the next "Call of Duty" 2017 installment.
Sledgehammer tweeted a GIF that is supposedly just a welcome to the new year but many gamers assumed it is some kind of clue to what lies ahead for the game. The GIF shows what looks like a running timepiece machinery and on top of it, is rolling number combination code that settled in the year 2017.
It looks like a simple GIF but some fans commented that it could be pointing to a World War 2-themed game that Sledgehammer is currently working on. On the other hand, GameBolt shared another interpretation as to what the clip could mean or suggesting,
In the report, it said that 2017 and 1945 are both year of the rooster in the Zodiac calendar. The latter year is the period when WW2 ended. Thus, the next "Call of Duty" 2017 game can possibly be about the second world war.
Finally, Sledgehammer Gamea can take its time in developing the 2017 "Call of Duty" game. This is because the most recent edition was released just two months ago, So, the creatives of the video game company do not have to rush things. With that said, it can be assumed that the release date of the new game may take a while.
