'Overwatch' Voice Lines Hints Genji and Mercy's Budding Romance
Switchy Sam"Overwatch" is the game that tests teamwork to achieve victory. Fans remain excited about the game because of the story of each character and their wonderful skills. Now, data miners have discovered some voice files in the game, probably a new update for the event that will be rolled out this February. The voice files are enough to make fans quiver with joy and love because it talks about Genji giving chocolates to Mercy. The budding relationship between the two sparks interest for writers, they witness their fan fictions into action.
Genji and Mercy giving chocolates to each other
Users in Reddit and a report from PC Gamer website reveal the voice files from "Overwatch." First, the file talks about Genji asking his brother Hanzo if he has some chocolates.
The next voice file is where Mercy shares her Swiss chocolate with Genji. However, Genji seems a bit redundant because he was the one asking to share it with her.
Lastly, Genji tries to return the favor by giving some chocolates to Mercy. It's not Swiss, though. But Mercy accepts it willingly by saying, "I suppose this will have to do...thank you, Genji."
Genji really needs to be sensitive on Mercy because it is obvious that Mercy likes him. Fans of Pharmercy, Phara and Mercy, or Genyatta, Genji and Zenyatta, aren't very happy. Dissapointments and bitterness are surely there. On another post from Kotaku, it is revealed that Mercy was the one who saved Genji's life in the Overwatch website.
These voicelines are a proof that Blizzard is celebrating the Valentine's day. This surely proves that the event is not ignored, which is a good thing though.
