'Gears of War 4' Title Update 3 Features New Maps, Punitive Measures Against Combat Quitters, Spectator Mode

Day after release of "Gears of War 4" third title update and players can now dissect what changes did Microsoft and developer The Coalition made in the game. To round up, there are two new "Gears of War 4" maps, spectator mode and a barrier to stop player from quitting matches.

There are hundreds of new cards to collect in "Gears of War 4" in its new maps that features Series 2 of Gear Pack. Further, "Gears of War 4" confirmed that Series 2 contents are craftable although not immediately available after release. The Coalition also advised players to hold back from buying Gear Packs until further notice to ensure that they will have the new Series 2 Cards in the pool, RocketChainsaw said.

Going into holding back those cowardly "Gears of War 4" combat quitters - pun intended. There is a new punitive measure being set to encourage staying throughout "Gears of War 4" core and competitive play. The Coalition will suspend players who quit in participating on matchmaking for a limited time.

Here is a thought about this "Gears of War 4" punishment though; what if power went out and players lost connection? Or you need to rush to the toilet? "Gears of War 4" will allow players to rejoin up to 5-minute time window. Of course, the match needs to be still ongoing.

The Coalition confirmed that there are other "Gears of War 4" punitive measures as well for other quitting cases. Developers are also rebalancing the match features plus pre-game lobbies. These are not yet available in this current "Gears of War 4" title update but will be added soon.

Going into the spectator mode, "Gears of War 4" plans for a huge eSports season this year. This premise alone explains why The Coalition is pushing for better streaming, viewer and caster experience. Foremost is re-designing the Cards for lesser visuals and avoiding overlap to the whole streaming display.
