Finder for AirPods App Removed from Apple Store; Dilemma of Losing Those Tiny AirPods Earbuds

Unfortunately, Apple objected and took down the $4 "Finder for AirPods" app just a week after it launched. MacRumors said that Apple did not provide any explanation why they have to remove "Finder for AirPods" from App Store.
Of course, there are several theories as to "Finder for AirPods" fate. Foremost is the allegation that it is inaccurate way to locate missing earpiece. "Finder for AirPods" rely on Bluetooth signal from misplaced AirPods which can increase or fluctuate depending on distance from missing earbud.
There is mixed reactions about "Finder for AirPods" being scrapped from App Store as well. Most are bursting that Apple should have given an alternative in the first place. After all, a four-dollar "Finder for AirPod" seems to be better than ultimately shelling $70 to get a replacement instead.
What will happen to those who already purchased "Finder for AirPods?" Users can request for a refund at iTunes and they will get back their money. It is unclear if "Finder for AirPods" will still work now that Apple App Store swatted it.
Meanwhile, The Verge tried to reach out to Apple for explanation about "Finder for AirPods" but there is no tangible explanation yet. The same report pointed that accuracy might indeed be the underlying reason. However, it pointed that "Finder for AirPod" is not a deceptive app albeit questions in usability.
In the end, the whole chain of event about "Finder for AirPods" boils down to one ultimate premise. Apple AirPods is easy to get lost and no app to turned to in locating them. Indeed, AirPods being lightweight and small came at a price.
