Nintendo Switch Event: Leaked Games Confirmed! 'The Legend of Zelda: BOTW,' 'Splatoon 2,' 'Super Mario Odyssey' And More Announced
Louise BonquinThe Nintendo Switch Event concluded on a high note as viewers were satisfied with the details shared on Jan. 12. Games, prices and release dates were revealed during the live stream presentation so almost everything that fans want to know are out in the open already.
The again, prior to the Nintendo Switch live event, some of the games have already been leaked online. Thus, last night's presentation was also a confirmation update of the rumors.
One of the trending topics about the leaked games was about the inclusion of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game version called the "Pokemon Stars" in Nintendo Switch. According to Forbes, GameStop accidentally revealed this information but the listing was taken down immediately.
The publication stated that GameStop made the mistake when it described the upcoming Nintendo console on its site. The description reads:
"Nintendo Switch games will include new title offerings from Mario, Splatoon, Zelda, the NBA and more! You will even be able to play Skyrim on the go, or Pokémon at home with the Nintendo Switch."
This seems to confirm most of the games that will be on Switch, but the real confirmation must come from Nintendo itself. Now, after the live streaming presentation that ended just hours ago, it was proven that there were truths about leak after all.
As rounded up by Business insider, here are some confirmed games that will be on Switch: First on the list is "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Games have been waiting for this game and it will be launch together with Switch on March 3.
Next up is the "Dragon Quest" series where the versions 1 and 2 have been remade specially for the Nintendo Switch. Dragon Quest X and XI will be on the new console as well.
Other titles to expect on Switch include "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe," "Super Mario Odyssey," "1, 2, Switch," "Splatoon 2," "ARMS," "Xenoblade Chronicles 2," "Fire Emblem Warriors" and Square Enix's "Project Octopath Traveler."
Nintendo Switch has been set to arrive worldwide on March 3. For the prices, the console will retail at $299.99 in the U.S. and £279.99 in U.K.
