'Stranger Things' Season 2: Will Byers A Demogorgon?

'Stranger Things' Season 2: Will Byers A Demogorgon?

Jason Palmer

Noah Schnapp who plays Will Byers in the popular science fiction TV series, "Stranger Things", may have unintentionally given a major spoiler of the TV series' yet to be released second season. During the BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party, Schnapp teased in an interview that his character may have been affected by the Upside Down in more ways than what is already known.

During the season finale of "Stranger Things", Will Byers excused himself from the dinner table where he along with his mother, Joyce (played by Winona Ryder), and brother, Jonathan (played by Charlie Heaton), were sharing a peaceful supper after Will was supposedly saved from the  Upside Down monster, Demogorgon. Will then proceeded to the bathroom where he is seen to have coughed up what seem to be a huge volume of a green slug-like matter.

Quite a number of rumors and speculations have already spread as to what the green slug is and what does the bathroom scene meant for "Stranger Things" story, the statements made by Schnapp may have shed a bit of a light to the said scene. According to Schnapp, "Stranger Things" season 2 story will begin with what happened at the end of season 1. He further stated that the Upside Down may have affected him and he "may or may not have turned into a monster".

Though the statement from Schnapp did not outrightly reveal the fate of Will Byers, Schnapp's revelations intrigued a lot of "Stranger Things" fans as it was the first time that the notion that Will Byers may have turned into a monster, perhaps a demogorgon, was mentioned. Season 1 did not actually thresh out the origins of the demogorgon, and Will turning into one seem to be an exciting plot twist for the upcoming season 2 of "Stranger Things".
