'Nights of Azure 2' February 2017 Release Delayed
S. TurlaFans of 2015's "Nights of Azure" were excited to find out that the game would be getting a sequel in 2017. However, it looks like gamers will have to wait a little longer for the action role-playing game (RPG) "Nights of Azure 2."
According to Siliconera, Gust has announced that "Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon," also known as "Nights of Azure 2," has been delayed to "a 2017 window in Japan."
The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game was initially slated for a February 2017 release. The release of the RPG game was being delayed in order to "further improve" on the quality of "Nights of Azure 2." Keisuke Kikuchi, the upcoming sequel's producer, offered his apology for "any inconveniences" that the delay may be causing the eager gamers awaiting the title.
The producer shared that Gust is working hard on "adjustments and tests surrounding the beautiful girls and their story, and action balance," and that they will need to delay the game's release to make "Nights of Azure 2" a title "that will meet expectations of fans."
Gematsu has revealed that this is not the first time that the sequel from Gust has been delayed. "Nights of Azure 2" was previously announced for a December 22, 2016 release in Japan. The game is also slated for a western released, but details about the exact date are yet to be formally announced.
Another Gematsu report details regarding the extras added to "Nighs of Azure 2" "as an apology for the delay." Gust has teased that to make up for having to wait longer, gamers will be able to use a new Lily in the game. A "beautiful girl NPC character" in the game has been added as a new Lily character to "accompany and fight alongside players."
Another new feature for "Nights of Azure 2" are Lily Swimsuit costume changes. In the game, there are some scenes where Lily characters are dressed in their bathing suits. Once these scenes are over, the Lilies can use their swimsuits as costumes in the game.
