Google Pixel 2: Leaked Renders Show Top & Bottom Display's Thinner Bezels, Full Glass Back Panel; Specs, Price Detailed
Louise BonquinGoogle Pixel 2 renders have been leaked online. Based on the posted images, the mobile phone has been redesigned and it now features a full glass back cover and barely there bezels.
The renders were published on Chinese Anzhuo web page and it was said that the images are that of the new smartphone that will be released by Google soon. Specifically speaking, the leaked renders have been tagged as the upcoming Google Pixel 2 model unit.
Based on the images, Google Pixel 2 top and bottom display screen will have thinner bezels. It also has two speaker grilles located at the underside and reports stated that there is a possibility for the device to be fitted with stereo speakers.
The camera and flash are placed at the back center, in line with the fingerprint scanner. The 3.5mm headphone jack remained at the top while the USB Type-C port is at the bottom. The phone have beveled edges as well.
Aside from the Google Pixel 2 renders, there is not much information about the device. However, there are quite a number of speculations and this include the phone's specs.
Reportedly, the newest Google phone will sport a 5-inch 2K display and Daydream VR support. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM.
The camera was not mentioned but it can be similar to Google Pixel XL's 12.3 MP or higher. Lastly, the phone has been designed to be water and dust resistant with IP67 or IP68 ratings
Tech Radar stated that Google Pixel 2 is likely to be released sometime in the latter half of this year. As for the price, the Pixel mobile device is expected to carry a premium price tag since it aims to compete with Apple's iPhone line.
