Fans of “Tokyo Ghoul” were expecting Season 3 in 2016, but it was not released. However, there are new speculations the well-loved Japanese manga would be released in March 2017.

Along with the rumor of a “Tokyo Ghoul” Season 3 is a spoiler that a new ghoul investigator would be introduced. He is Ken Kaneki, but the new ghoul investigator would initially be introduced as Haise Sasaki. The two names are because of problems with his memory, Opptrends reports.

New Characters

Koreaportal reports there is another character who would be introduced in “Tokyo Ghoul” Season 3 named Touka Kirishima. The new character reportedly would not be friendly toward Ken Kanaki, while some reports hint she could be the love interest of Ken Kanaki.

Among the explanations for the delay in the release of “Tokyo Ghoul” Season 3 is the lack of materials for a new installment. There was also a change in the franchise since ownership changed from Pierrot Studio to Madhouse Entertainment. The company is also behind other successful anime series such as “One Punch Man” and “Death Note.”

Reports state that some episodes of “Tokyo Ghoul” Season 3 are already finished, but it takes more than just TV-ready episodes to commit to another season of a well-loved anime. The dark Japanese fantasy manga by Sui Ishida was recently obtained by Madman Entertainment for digital distribution in Australia.

Movie Version In Summer

So far, as of June 2016, over 18 million copies of “Tokyo Ghoul” is in circulation. Besides the upcoming “Tokyo Ghoul” Season 3, Shochiku Company, a Japanese movie studio, announced in June 2016 an upcoming Japanese horror movie, “Tokyo Ghoul,” based on Sui Ishida’s manga series. The film, to release in summer 2017, would star Masataka Kubota and Fumika Shimizu, and it would be directed by Kentaro Hagiwara.
