The Emmy Nominated web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" is moving to Netflix. This show is hosted by ace comedian and actor Jerry Seinfeld.

The show is currently available on Sony's ad-supported streaming service Crackle. However, starting late 2017, it will move to Netflix and will include two new stand-up specials as part of a deal Seinfeld agreed on with the streaming service, writes Variety. Netflix will now have exclusive global distribution rights to the show. Also, the first 59 episodes of the series will be transferred to the streaming giant.

"Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" is a show where Jerry Seinfeld drives around with his expensive vintage cars along with celebrities sharing stories along the way. The most notable guest so far is President Barack Obama, which proves how popular the web series really is, Slash Gear notes.

Seinfeld stated that when he first thought about the series, Netflix was still a business of mailing out DVDs in envelopes. He added that he loves that he and Netflix are now joining together.

Netflix has been heavily investing in comedies recently as they have added a number of remarkable comedians including Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle. Both have their own TV specials on the streaming service.

Seinfeld became popular because of his titular role in the comedy series "Seinfeld," which aired from July 1989 to May 1998. The show has since become a classic as it is regarded to be one the best TV shows of all time. In addition, Hulu still have exclusive rights to stream "Seinfeld."

Seinfeld's web series, on the other hand, has already received three Emmy nominations including Outstanding Variety Talk Series. The series premiered on Crackle on July 19, 2012.
