'Nioh' PS4 Update: Game Has Gone Gold; PvP Multiplayer Mode DLC To Arrive For Free, Details Coming Next Week
Louise Bonquin"Nioh" is the latest RPG game that will be released by Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. Prior to its launch, the game was confirmed to get a PvP multiplayer DLC but it will arrive at a later date.
The details about this upcoming update for multiplayer mode were not mentioned. However, "Nioh" game director Yosuke Hayashi relayed that Team Ninja will surely work on it as players expressed their wish to have the PvP in the game.
"We figured that a lot of different gamers, including those who enjoy Dark Souls, would also play Nioh," GameSpot quoted Hayashi as saying. "In the past, we did get feedback from our gamers about the same kind of PvP feature (like in Dark Souls) so we want to commit on adding to this to our game."
Moreover, the game director said that the "Nioh" PvP multiplayer DLC would be free to gamers. A season pass for pre-order of the game was also confirmed and it will come with three major DLCs that will be available shortly after the game's release.
In any case, on Jan. 16, it was announced on Twitter that the game has gone gold. It finally happen after over 10 years of work for its development. Reaching the gold status means that "Nioh" is now up for production and it can be release immediately.
Finally, in preparation for the game's launch, Koei Tecmo is set to hold another "Nioh" live stream event on Jan. 20. During the broadcast, Hayashi is expected to introduce the game once again so players will be more interested in it. Fans and game enthusiasts can watch the live streaming via YouTube, NicoNnico and Fresh! by AbemaTV.
"Nioh" is coming to PlayStation 4 in North America on Feb. 7 while Europe will have it on Feb. 8. On the other hand, the game is set to be released in Japan on Feb. 9.
