Niantic has released its first updated version of the game after its successful Christmas and New Year events of "Pokemon Go". The v0.53.1 game features the Apple Watch display of Eggs obtained from the Poketops, changed distance tracking to better account for GPS drift, as well as minor text fixes. However, there are more exciting new features coming to the game.

The dataminers from The Silph Road team have discovered some new data that was added in the APK code of "Pokemon Go." One of the exciting discoveries is the Evolution Items that has been very useful for trainers in evolving their certain Pokemon in over the past game series. The Evolution Items does not have any graphic assets, but they "do appear" and are named in the code as the following: Sun Stone, Kings Rock, Metal Coat, Dragon Scale and Upgrade.

Using these items will help "Pokemon Go" players evolve certain Pokemons. For instance, a Sun Stone can help evolve grass species like Gloom to a Bellossom, or a Sunkern into Sunflora. The Kings Rock can help evolve a Slowpoke into Slowking, or a Poliwhirl into a Politoad. The Metal Coat can help an Onix and a Scyther evolve into a Steelix and Scizor respectively, while a Dragon Scale can evolve a Seadra into Kingdra.

Aside from the Evolution Items, 38 new moves have also been added in "Pokemon Go" after Ditto's transform move. The moves that were discovered include quick moves like Counter, Powder Snow, Charge Beam, Volt Switch, Dragon Tail, Infestation and Struggle Bug. The charge moves include Close Combat, Dynamic Punch, Focus Blast, Aurora Beam,Wild Charge, Zap Cannon, Avalanche, Brave Bird, Sky Attack, Sand Tomb and Rock Blast.

Other charge moves that have been discovered are Silver Wind, Night Shade, Gyro Ball, Heavy Slam, Overheat, Grass Knot, Energy Ball, Futuresight, Mirror Coat, Outrage, Crunch and Foul Play. New avatar customization like belts, glasses and necklaces have aslo been added to the "Pokemon Go" APK.
