Lindsay Lohan Confirms That She Has Not Converted To Islam, Despite Conversion Rumors

After having all her social media posts deleted and replacing an Arab greeting instead, the troubled "Mean Girls" star, Lindsay Lohan, has sparked speculations about turning herself into Islam. The 30-year-old celebrity is known for her intense personal life which has soon affected her career and after being quiet for some time, it seems like she is making a buzz again after leaving an Arabic phrase on her Instagram account.

Earlier this week, Lindsay Lohan's Instagram, which is followed by over 6 million fans, has been emptied, leaving the phrase "Alaikum salam" which translates into "may peace be upon you." This has provoked the social media rumor to assume of her conversion to Islam while encouraging Twitter users to upload several photos of Lohan wearing a head cover during her visit to Syrian refugees in Turkey last 2016. Meanwhile, a Twitter post from a random user has welcomed the actress by posting "Welcome to #islam @lindsaylohan #lindseylohan."

It seems like the allegations had started after seeing the actress turned singer carrying a Koran while having her community work in New York. (via JPost.com) However, her mom Dina Lohan is denying the rumor about her daughter converting to Islam despite the actress claiming how Muslim's holy book had changed her life. Lilo's mother defended her by stating that her daughter is just taking a social media break and opting to leave an Arabic message instead. The actress's rep also confirmed this by telling that "She has not converted [to Islam]" to Gossip Cop.

But then again, rumors like these won't just come out of the blue and Lilo has been seen showing interest in the said religion since last year. Going back in April, the actress' rep has confirmed that she was discovering more of the religion after she has told about reading the Koran.
