How & Where to Buy the Nintendo Classic Edition
Cores Grace MalaayNintendo has been facing stock shortages in its NES Classic Edition since its November 2016 release, which includes a total of 30 built-in games. Fans have been left disappointed with this never-ending problem of the NES Classic replica of Nintendo's original gaming consoles in the 80s.
Nintendo has been aware that the NES Classic Edition is a hot item and that it made an assurance that it will maintain stable supply to keep up with customer demands but it appears that most fans are not really happy with this short supply. Reports say that the company hasn't issued any official statement yet regarding this issue.
Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America explained that the company made a mistake with its prediction in its target audience and that they only expected ages 30 - 40 years old adults as the audiences for NES Classic Edition since these people are the ones who grew up playing with the classic consoles. He admitted that they didn't expect that both yesteryear and modern gamers are buying the console leading to shortages of supply, which he said that there was certainly a ‘market disconnect' in Nintendo's end.
The best thing to do so you can get your hands on the NES Classic Edition is to call your local retail stores to check the arrival of the console's stocks. According to CNet, Target stores have increased to six percent of the console's stocks so you might want to keep an eye on them if you are eager to own the console.
In New York, the Nintendo Store regularly replenishes its stocks and if you are nearby, that's the best place to go too and you can also follow them Facebook and Twitter to keep posted. You can also check availability tracking sites such as NowInStock and Brickseek and sign up for alerts and notifications so you'll be updated once new stocks arrive.
Another option would be checking out online retailers such as Amazon, Newegg, Chunk Toys and Player's Choice. They have the console in stock but they sell them at premium prices. Stay tuned for more updates on the NES Classic Edition.
