Ubisoft's "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" has just recently unveiled a 20-minute gameplay trailer. The game sets a team of four special operations personnel to infiltrate and destroy the Santa Blanca Cartel in Bolivia. On March 7, the game will officially be out on the market. Here are the things you should know about the upcoming title.

A Version Of 'Far Cry' But With Multiplayer & A Four Team Crew

"Ghost Recon: Wildlands" was first announced on June 15, 2015, according to the game's official website. With the likes of the "Far Cry" series already out on the market, fans wondered if it would be another copycat. The 20-minute gameplay trailer shows players that it is anything but.

It has the same outpost capturing schemes as "Far Cry" but with a crew that players can control. It adds another dimension of strategy to single-player missions. "Ghost Recon Wildlands" also has a multiplayer coop mission. Undoubtedly, it will be a staple for couch coops or better yet a way to kill time with your best buddies.

Realism Is The Main Theme According To The Game's Developers

Video games and reality is far off when we are talking about bullet ballistics and how physics actually works. In real life, one bullet is enough to neutralize a terrorist. According to Dominic Butler, the game's lead designer, players can get killed in a single shot. Plus the game runs on a modified AnvilNext 2.0 engine to mimic Bolivia's unique landscape.

A team of developers actually had to travel to Bolivia to capture the country's unique ecosystem. They stayed for two weeks to consult with Bolivian nationals, bringing the game an authentic environment that's close to the Bolivian Jungle.

Might Be The Biggest Open World Game

Ubisoft has stated that "Ghost Recon Wildlands" will be the biggest open world game the company has created. The game map includes nine different types of terrain, such as mountains, forests, desert, salt flats and will also introduce a dynamic weather system plus a day-night cycle.

The game could probably end up as the most anticipated third person shooter this year. You can check out the 20-minute gameplay video below. The game will be globally released on March 7, 2017.
