'Elder Scrolls VI': Bethesda Hard At Work For 'Fallout 4' VR Edition That Could Push Back 'TES 6' Development
Louise Bonquin"Elder Scrolls VI" is a highly anticipated game right now and this is quite understandable since "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" has been listed as one of the most notable RPG games ever made. However, despite the clamor, it seems that Bethesda Softworks is still not yet ready to release a follow-up installment.
Over the last few months, the game developer has repeatedly stated that they are still busy with other projects so, this means that "Elder Scrolls VI" is not yet in development. Despite this, fans of the game are pushing Bethesda to release the sixth installment.
As stated by Bethesda's VP in marketing Pete Hines trough Twitter, "fyi, the elder scrolls vi isn't in development. we simply said we would make it eventually. don't want people to be misled."
Game director Todd Howard seconded the statement that they are not working on "Elder Scrolls VI" yet. On his interview during the YouTube Live At E3 event, he was asked about the game's development and he said, "But it is - you know, I have to be careful what I say - it's a very long way off."
He further explained that they have two big projects in the works and they are actually doing something bigger that anything they have ever done so far. The director added that fans will be able to hear about what these are even before "Elder Scrolls VI."
With his statements, fans assumed that Bethesda is referring to "Fallout" game series. This game raked in big sales as it sold over 4 million copies in 2016 and it was a top contender for the Game of the Year last year, so this might be why Bethesda is currently focusing on developing a follow-up or a special version of it.
Likewise, it was reported that the gaming company is setting aside the "Elder Scrolls VI" since it is hard at work for the updated edition of "Fallout 4." As the VR is the latest trend in gaming, Bethesda wants to be more innovative so it is enthusiastic in introducing the "Fallout 4" on VR headset.
Nevertheless, when the projects are over this year, gamers can expect "Elder Scrolls VI" to roll out in 2019 since the development and production is a very long process. Plus, Bethesda is aiming to use the latest technology for its games so the production may take longer than usual.
