‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ Mini Series Coming Next Month; Season 2 Release Date Still A Mystery?
Megha KediaThere's finally some good news for fans of the popular anime series "The Seven Deadly Sins." The highly anticipated "The Seven Deadly Sins" mini-series is coming to Netflix very soon.
According to Comicbook, Netflix has listed February 17 as the release date for "The Seven Deadly Sins" mini-series. Notably, Netflix has acquired the exclusive rights to the popular anime series and rolled out the first season with English dubs and subs. "The Seven Deadly Sins" is among the six Netflix exclusively licensed anime series on the site.

Fans, however, are not quite happy with the announcement as the upcoming release has reportedly been mislabeled. There are reports which claim that the series which is going to get released next month is not the true "The Seven Deadly Sins" season two but rather a mini-series titled "Signs of Holy War."
It is to be noted that the mini-series in question has been out for quite some time in Japan. It is a sequel to season one story. The mini-series is a four episode story arc that takes place between the full seasons. Holy War has been described as a bridging season that will make the anime concurrent with the manga storyline. While "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 has been confirmed to release in 2017, there's still no set date as to when the anime series will be available for streaming on Netflix.
"When a kingdom is taken over by tyrants, the deposed princess begins a quest to find a disbanded group of evil knights to help take back her realm," Netflix's description of the series reads.
"The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War" will be available on February 17, 2017.
