‘Dishonored 2’ Update Is Out Now; Mission Select & Custom Difficulty Available
Arianne GiftBethesda announced that it has released a free update for its stealth-action game, which came out in November 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The highly anticipated "Dishonored 2" update lets players select missions, which means parts of the game can be re-experienced without having to start a the very beginning, or from saved files. In tow is the Custom Difficulty feature that lets players adjust the game to make it less or more challenging.
The "Dishonored 2" free update should give players enough reason to visit it again and, at the same time, encourage budding gamers to buy it. This is the second free update Bethesda has released. The first update was launched in December, adding a New Game Plus mode that lets players go through for the second time, along with all the abilities they already earned the first time.
"Dishonored 2" now offers even more freedom of choice to play your own way with the additional Custom Difficulty settings," Bethesda said. "Further customize your experience with the more than 20 different sliders to tailor everything from how quickly Sleep Darts take effect to how many active enemies are likely to attack you at once."
A special slider is also now available in the Custom Difficulty settings on the "Dishonored 2" update. Gamers seeking the ultimate challenge can go for the Iron Mode, which has no manual saves or loads. The publisher said that the Iron Mode will see players live the consequences of their actions and could face permadeath because of them.
According to GameSpot, the recent "Dishonored 2" update also fixed a lot of bugs, including one where Emily's feet could be seen floating in high FOV settings on PC. There are also fixes for crash scenarios, as well as audio and collision issues. Visit Bethesda's website to view the full patch notes.
