"Grand Theft Auto 5" has been released three years ago and it was only recently that Rockstar Games channeled its attention to a new game. "GTA 6" is still many months, or perhaps many years, away. However, the fans interest and anticipation for the sequel is immense.

The magnitude of excitement from the "GTA" community has been abused in Brazil. A game claiming to be "GTA 6" for PlayStation 2 has been seen on sale. Aside from that, the fake game's cover is a preposterous hatchet job. The photo of the fake "GTA 6" was shared on Reddit, which went viral instantly.

The cover has "Grand Theft Auto 5's" Roman numeral V with the word six in capital letters overlayed to it. Beside the big and capitalized letter, V is the number 6. In the cover, an unofficial GTA artwork can be seen. Inexplicably, an image of actress Summer Galu from the TV series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" appeared on the same "GTA 6" cover.

Rockstar Games' "GTA series" popularity has spread around the world that such counterfeits are taking advantage of it. In Most cases, these fakes contain discs loaded with mods from "GTA: San Andreas 2004."

Rockstar and studio owners, Take Two, have been mum about the details of "GTA 6." However, the impressive feat of "GTA 5" raking 70 million sold copies since November 2016 is a positive indication of a release taking place soon.

PCGamesn reported that the real "GTA 6" began pre-production at Rockstar ten months ago. The team's next project is "Red Dead Redemption 2," which is scheduled to launch in autumn of 2017. The possibility of "GTA 6" this year is far from possible.
