'Pokemon Go' Nest Migration Is Live; Niantic Faces Possible Ban
Keisuke Akio"Pokemon Go" developer Niantic is facing yet another ban. Pokemon Go fans recently reported uncommon nest activities ahead of the official migration. In addition, Niantic faces a potential paywall ban in the US.
The succeeding "Pokemon Go" nest migration is likely to take place soon, although some fans on Reddit have reported strange nest behavior already. The Silph Road Twitter page posted a message telling players that the next "Pokemon Go" Nest Migration should hit in just over 48 hours. In addition, he reminded players to check first their local nests. However, several players have said that certain nests had changed already ahead of scheduled event. This appears to be the norm in preparation for the mass migration.
Meanwhile, Niantic might be forced to pay for permits to activate "Pokemon Go" in Milwaukee County Parks. According to Express, this issue may not directly impact players outside of Milwaukee however, it could have long-term effects for "Pokemon Go" if other areas follows. This could give "Pokemon Go" players a difficult time capturing those most talked about Gen 2 Pokemon.
Milwaukee Record reported that the park submitted an ordinance recommended for approval that would entail virtual and location-based augmented reality games to apply and pay for permits in Milwaukee County Parks. The ordinance was inspired by last summer's "Pokemon Go" Lake Park controversy, which saw thousands of players flocking to, and causing damage to, the East Side park.
In addition, members of the community also attended and spoke at the meeting; and nearly all of them are in favor of the resolution. Few of the problems raised in relation to "Pokemon Go" activity include trash, parking issues, lack of bathrooms, trampled landscapes, and trespassing among others. Only one among those community member who attended, a Pokemon Go player, looks at the ordinance as over-regulation.
