The “Empire” Season 3 fall finale episode was the catalyst to a lot of changes. Two characters received death threats, someone was shamed publicly, and someone from the Lyon family permanently exited the series.

When the show returns from its hiatus, Jamal, played by Jussie Smollett, will be spending his time in a rehabilitation facility. Although the Lyon family might be going for each other’s necks for most of the time, it has been reported that they will be keeping close watch on Jamal to check if he is cooperating with the treatment.

“Empire” Season 3 is scheduled to return to small screens in March. A couple of months prior to the midseason premiere, some teaser videos have been released to the public. Unfortunately, the promos do not confirm much, but it is clear that the main “Empire” Season 3 cast will continue to be plagued with a variety of problems.

Before the the “Empire” Season 3 fall finale, Trai Byers’ Andre vowed to everyone that he will kill Lucious, played by Terrence Howard. After his wife, Rhonda, died, Andre turned into a colder, calculated character. “He is extremely dangerous,” revealed “Empire” Season 3 EP Sanaa Hamri. “He is the most dangerous character on our show right now.”

Andre has a lot brewing underneath the surface, especially after Lucious “shunned” him. “Lucious let him falter and tread water in a very dangerous way as a teenager,” Hamri added. “His father always made him feel like a freak.” This was made clear when Lucious purposely did not acknowledge his bipolar disorder -- not admitting that his mother had it, too.

As part of his plot for revenge, Andre secretly pulled off a hack with Vaughn and Lucious never imagined that his son could be behind the attack. “Andre is going to be able to weave a web that could most probably take Lucious down,” the EP continued.
