“GTA 6,” which will be the sixth instalment of the “Grand Theft Auto” video game franchise, is believed to be already in the works. Recent reports have pointed out that Rockstar Games has already started working on it.

In addition to reports that “GTA 6” will be featuring a first-person mode, the game is also reportedly going to allow gamers to head to cities from past instalments. According to iTechPost, Rockstar North boss Leslie Benzies revealed that the studio has always planned to let its players move from one city to another.

The “GTA 6” maker reportedly had four different teams during the development - which is believed to have played a huge role in why there will be fewer DLCs for its online version. It was previously reported that online updates for the “Grand Theft Auto” gaming franchise will slow down this year, and will completely cease once “Red Dead Redemption 2” is launched. This information, however, remains unconfirmed to date.

One other supposed new gameplay feature is a female protagonist. “GTA 6” gamers are expecting it to have a female lead after Dan Houser’s hints in a previous interview. “Could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course,” he told The Guardian. “We just have not found the right game for it yet.”

At the time, Rockstar Games was still busy with “Grand Theft Auto 5” and Houser did not feel like giving the game a female lead was “organic” to its theme. “It did not feel natural for this game,” he added. “But, definitely for the right game in the future.” As long as they had the “right themes,” Houser is convinced that “it could be fantastic.”

Neither Houser, nor anyone from Rockstar Games, has come out to confirm whether or not “GTA 6” will have a female protagonist. However, having one is expected to largely ease out the studio’s recent issues with complaints regarding false in-game depiction of women.
