The 2017 Miss Universe will be held on Jan. 29, 7PM ET at the Mall of Asia Arena, Philippines. As early as the preliminary competitions which was held on January 26, a lot of beauty pageant experts have already picked their top 5 candidates with the best chances to win this year's crown.

This year's pageant for the Universe's most beautiful will again be hosted by Steve Harvey. This time, the Miss Universe organization brought in Ashley Graham to co-host the show.

It can be remembered that Steve Harvey made a mistake in the announcement of last year's winner. Instead of giving the crown to the eventual Miss Universe, Miss Philippines, he announced Miss Colombia as the winner.

The official Miss Universe Website has the list of the official TV partners for this year's pageant. In the US, the pageant will be aired via FOX.

In this year's pageant, Miss Philippines, Maxine Medina, will not only have the home court advantage but will also have the push from her fellow Filipina and current Miss Universe, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Medina seems to be doing well as she is a consensus top 5 candidate in the predictions so far.

The official Miss Universe online poll shows Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia as the top 3 leading online vote getters. These candidates are also the ones appearing in most top 5 predictions.

Miss Philippines is currently leading the official online poll for Miss Universe. Miss Thailand came in a close second in the official online poll with 39.97M votes compared to Miss Philippines' 39.98M votes.

Miss Thailand seem to be the favorite to win the crown in this year's pageant. However, beauty pageant powerhouses Colombia, Argentina and Brazil are also no pushovers.

The 2017 Miss Universe will be revealed a few hours from now. The night of the Universe's most beautiful will soon begin.
