Keisuke AkioRecently, there have been many speculations about Samsung Galaxy S8. A prevailing belief is that Samsung will generally overhaul the upcoming device to make up for Samsung Note 7's failure. Here are the speculations we have rounded up.
It is said that the Samsung Galaxy S8 device will feature the Snapdragon 835. The processor will be manufactured on 10nm and feature Samsung's Kryo 280 cores. These will be in an octacore arrangement with an increase over the Snapdragon 820. The stats for the 835 have also been rumored for the S8, with the device to be 20 percent more power efficiency and 11 percent faster than the Galaxy S7.
In addition, the processor will have two L2 cache sets, with capacities of 2.4 and 1.2MB for the high performance and low performance clusters respectively. Moreover, it is said that in Samsung Galaxy S8, 80 percent of the processor's time will be spent using the lower clocked cluster. The immense configuration will also be 20 percent faster and optimized for web browsing, load times and VR apps.
VR will be a major part of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Several reports claim that the device will come with 6GB of RAM to back the VR claim. In addition, Qualcomm X16 modem is expected to be on the Samsung Galaxy S8. Wccftech notes that the model will be Cat. 16 and support up to 1Gbps in download speeds. In addition, the Adreno, for its part will support all the popular VR and API platforms. It will also be able to display up to 107 million colors.
According to leaks, Samsung will debut two configurations for the smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will come in sizes of 5.7 and 6.1 inches respectively. In addition, it will have 4K resolution and UHD.
