Soon users will be able to customize their Android 7.0 Nougat with the independently developed software tool named Xposed. Users will be able to change some of the aspects of the user interface without installing the new ROM entirely. Xposed uses the inbuilt software modules for this purpose.

Xposed Will Allow Android OS Customization

Xposed has been working fine with every Android version that had been launched. The tool gets updated to be compatible with every new Android version. A lot of fans have been eagerly waiting to know if the Xposed Android Customization tool was compatible with the Android 7.0 Nougat update as well. Recently developer rovo89 revealed some of the interesting details about the tool in the XDA Developers' Forum, as reported by Android Authority.

Xposed For Android 7.0 Nougat Is in Progress

According to the forum Developer, rovo89 has revealed that the tool for Android Nougat update is in progress, he was unable to determine when the tool will be ready for release. In the forum, rovo89 also discussed the various features that will be included in the Android Nougat Update Xposed tool. These changes have made the update even more challenging than the previous update of Lollipop to Marshmallows.

Rovo89 Says It Will Take Hundreds Of Hours"

He also stated that the Apps installation process is faster than the previous Android version. Hence, developing a Xposed framework that will support the new process will take a lot of time which rovo89 said could be "hundreds of hours." He also said that he has already experimented with the different ways to carry out the update. According to his theoretical calculations, the update will take two weeks of time if all 25 hours has been taken into consideration, as reported by GSM Arena.

The Update Will Take Months To Get Ready

However, since that is not possible and since he got only 5 hours per week to work on the tool last year, he said it would take a lot of time. However, the good news is that he is still working on the Android Nougat update Xposed, which users can expect to be out by the end of this year or by early 2018.
