Arnold Schwarzenegger Hits Back At Donald Trump’s Remark About His Low ‘Apprentice’ Ratings
Staff ReporterPresident Donald Trump's first National Prayer Breakfast speech addressed several issues Thursday, including the ratings of "New Celebrity Apprentice" under new host Arnold Schwarzenegger. Donald Trump taunted about the new host's low rating with the show, and the former California Governor responded in a video posted on Twitter suggesting that they should switch roles.
Schwarzenegger took the hosting job for Trump's NBC show after Trump vacated the position to run for president. However, the ratings have not equaled the level they did when Trump was running the reality show.
Trump used his breakfast speech Thursday morning to express his displeasure about the current ratings of "Apprentice," the reality show that launched Trump's popularity in the world of entertainment. In a jokingly manner, he asked the attendees to offer up prayers for Arnold Schwarzenegger and the reality TV show's ratings.
President Trump talked about the "Apprentice" at the annual breakfast event. "They hired a big, big movie star to take my place - Arnold Schwarzenegger. And we know how that turned out," Trump said in jest. "The ratings went right down the tubes. It's been a total disaster."

Schwarzenegger was quick to respond to Trump. "Hey Donald, I have a great idea. Why don't we switch jobs? You take over TV, because you're such an expert in ratings, and I take over your job. And people can finally sleep comfortably again," said Schwarzenegger in his video on Twitter.
Schwarzenegger's spokesman released a separate statement about Trump's approval ratings. The statement says that Mr. Schwarzenegger is praying that the newly elected US president can start improving his own approval ratings, which were the worst in history for an incoming president.

This is not the first time that President Trump feuded with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Last month, Trump blasted his replacement's ratings on Twitter, which Schwarzenegger quickly responded by tweeting that there's nothing more important than the people's work.
Of course, this whole thing might have been a stunt to propel "Apprentice" ratings. Trump remains part of the reality show.
