Nintendo Switch Pre-Order Cancellation A Better Option? President Tatsumi Kimishima Provides Updates On New Console
Lauren DuffyNintendo Switch is about to be released in a month's time and several companies are still accepting pre-orders for the Japanese gaming company's newest console. While the console's game lineup has already been announced, a new report suggests that players should cancel their pre-orders and wait for a few months.
Nintendo Switch pre-orders are ongoing for several companies while some have already stopped taking pre-orders from customers. While there is only a month left before the release of the console in the market, a report from iDigitalTimes suggests that players are better off waiting for a few more months before getting the console.
According to the publication, some players may be simply interested in getting the Nintendo Switch because it will come with the release of "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." However, the publication notes that the game may also be played on Wii U.
Aside from this, the games included in the lineup of the Nintendo Switch are still a couple of months away from being released such as the "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" and "Splatoon 2." There is also a possibility that the $299 price of the unit will go through a price drop depending on its demand among consumers.
There also remains a ton of questions surrounding Nintendo Switch and its features, so it may be better to wait a few months before buying one. Meanwhile, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima recently provided Nintendo Switch updates in a report from Express.
Kimishima addressed concerns that the Switch may face shortage issues similar to the Nintendo Classic Mini NES that was released in November. According to Kimishima, the company is working hard to produce enough units and meet its plan to deliver two million units upon its release in March.
