'Skyrim Special Edition' 1.4 Update Introduces New Mod Features & Enhancements; Available On Beta Now

"Skyrim Special Edition" is the latest edition of the extremely popular RPG developed by Bethesda. The game received a couple of updates in the weeks subsequent to its release, providing an assortment of fixes and tweaks that enriched the game experience. An upcoming update, "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.4, will be launched soon on all formats. However, this update can already be downloaded in beta form for PC.
The upcoming "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.4 update centers mostly on mod enhancements. It introduces a Featured category for mods and more, as well as offers fixes coming on general performance and stability improvements.
"Skyrim Special Edition" 1.4 updates added the ability to sort Highest Rated and Most Favorites filters by day, week, month and all time. In addition, it includes an additional number of ratings counts to the Mods Browsing Menu. It also added several factors to Mod Details page, such as the number of favorites count, required dependencies, and the latest version number and notes.
In terms of general performance and stability improvements, the "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.4 update fixed a Bethesda.net error messaging. Furthermore, it brought improvements to Reporting mods categories and fixed occasional crashes while scrolling through Load Order menu.
"Skyrim Special Edition" will also be in the latest Nintendo Switch console, in all regions, later this year. It is not yet clear how mod support will work with the Switch. However, the game will come with the same features of the other releases, says Wccftech.
The game is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.4 update is also available via Steam Beta for interested PC players. The full version of this latest "Skyrim Special Edition" 1.4 update is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One versions of the game sometime between February 6 and 12.
