Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Price At $600? Unit Said To Arrive With S-Pen Stylus, Runs Android 7.0 Nougat
Rei LantionWith the Mobile World Congress 2017 fast approaching, the hype over the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 just keeps growing. With no official confirmation from Samsung, most of the details regarding the newest model are speculation and hearsay. We've gathered all the prospective and plausible details for the Galaxy Tab S3, including specs, price, and release date.
Release Date: MWC or Not? A lot of reports are in conflict regarding the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, but most seem to agree that it will launch between late February and early March. iDigital Times, for instance, gives it an announcement date of February 26, and says it will be released "sometime in March."
Given that Samsung has confirmed it won't be launching its flagship Galaxy S8 during MWC this year, the collective assumption is that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Tab S3 in its stead. According to Sammobile, a Korean report confirms this unveil date.
Galaxy Tab S3 to Feature S-Pen Stylus. According to Android Community, Samsung wants to "offer a more professional mobile device" that serves both work and recreational function. Ergo, the upcoming Samsung tablet may come with an S-Pen.
However, it may arrive as a packaged bundle and not as an integral feature. Sammobile reports that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 won't have a special slot or placeholder for the stylus itself. From what we can gather from reports, the S-Pen will be offered as an optional add-on, should the user want it.
Priced at $600? According to International Business Times, the Galaxy Tab S3 may retail for around $600. It is, once again, significantly cheaper than its upcoming competitor, the Apple iPad Pro 2. The iPad Pro 2 is said to be priced upwards of $799.
Other features for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, and a 12MP rear-mounted camera. It is also said to run Android 7.0 Nougat and have an ultra-thin frame, with just 5.6mm thickness. Regarding size and display, the Galaxy Tab S3 will reportedly have a 9.6-inch 2048x1536 display.
