Destiny Livestream Details
This week's Sandbox Update, which includes some discussion alongside the live fire exercise of HotFix 2.5.0.2, is happening today, February 8, at 10AM PST. You can tune in via their Twitch channel to catch the weapons and subclass changes in action before the patch goes live on February 14.
According to Bungie's latest post, the discussion will focus on combat, particularly the different ways players fight in "Destiny." Some questions detailed include the purpose for different styles of attack and how well they perform when pitted against each other. A follow up question "how is all that about to change?" suggests that "Destiny" players may be seeing some major updates in the combat system soon.
Destiny HotFix 2.5.0.2
In a previous blog post dated January 26, Bungie revealed some in-game issues it hoped the latest patch would fix, particularly with Exotics and some classes. The company also revealed balancing changes to weapons, such as adjustments to Special Ammunition and the potency of Primary Weapons.
They're also looking to provide alternatives and counters to Shotguns. According to Game Rant, it's possible the Shotguns may not be nerfed, as was previously evidenced by Bungie. To even the playing field, other weapon classes may receive slight buffs instead. Bungie has yet to confirm or deny this, but it's a high possibility.
The 'Destiny' HotFix 2.5.0.2 Preview Livestream starts at 10AM Pacific on February 8. See the patch changes in action and catch the discussion via their Twitch channel linked above.
