How To Donate Money To ACLU Using The Amazon Dash Button Each Time You See Depressing News!
Staff ReporterIt's almost impossible these days to avoid seeing depressing news on TV, the internet and social media. If you're looking to feel better about yourself, here is a way for you to donate money to ACLU using the Amazon Dash Button each time you see terrible news according to Gizmodo.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, the Amazon Dash Button is sort of a "buy now" button for your home. Each button is a Wi-Fi device specific to a certain product that you may purchase every time you push it. Let's say you have one on your washing machine, when you run out of detergent, just press the Dash Button and a detergent will be delivered to your home in two days.
A programmer named Nathan Pryor was able to use a customizable version of the Dash Button to enable him to donate five dollars each time he presses the button. He wrote a script that was powered by Amazon's servers that automatically filled out the donation page with his name, address and credit card information.
Pryor used a pre-paid debit card for his donations so that his bank account won't be emptied just in case the script he wrote gets stuck into a loop of infinite donations.
The Dash Button he created now sits on his laptop, sending five dollars each time he presses it. He stated that he could set up a recurring donation every month, but that takes away the thrill of pressing the button and he wouldn't have learned his way around this technology.

What do you think of the Dash Button that donates money every time it's pressed? Write and share your thoughts down below the comments section.
