"Blindspot" creator Martin Gero delighted fans with an interview wherein he clarified Shepherd's plan on Kurt Weller and what Truman Protocol is. Actress Michelle Hurd who gives life to Shepherd's character, on the other hand, talked about her role and revealed that she is not a mere villain without a cause. Check out the details of Gero and Hurd's interview below.

In a talk with Entertainment Weekly, Gero made it clear that the Truman Protocol is a secret document in the United States that the "Blindspot" creator cannot explain further. Treated as very crucial to Shepherd's cause and to the endgame of Phase 2, the Truman Protocol will reportedly get highlights in the rest of the episodes this season. Fortunately, it seems that the show will not end without revealing what the Truman Protocol is.

Gero also spoke about Shepherd's initial plan on Weller and he pointed out that the leader of Sandstorm may not have arranged to look out for him from the start. The "Blindspot" boss implied that Shepherd could have realized, over time, that the now FBI agent might be an asset to her. Hence, she orchestrated almost everything to ensure that Weller will be who he is right now but it wasn't her intention since the beginning.

Meanwhile, Hurd also has something to say about her character, which she relayed to ET Online. The actress claimed that Shepherd thinks that what she's doing is for the right cause and she will not stop until she accomplishes her ultimate goal. She may be a villain but she believes that what she's doing will correct the wrong and the future wrongs of the government.

"Blindspot" actress Hurd also revealed that Shepherd may have realized that she is comparable to the young Weller but nobody was there to support her. That's why she made it her cause to find people like them and give them the safe haven she didn't have before. To learn more about what would happen to the lives of "Blindspot" characters, don't forget to catch the show on NBC every Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
