‘The Seven Deadly Sins’ Season 2 On Netflix Not The Real Thing, Just An OVA? See Details Here
Kate Wales"The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 has been reported to air on Netflix on Feb, 17 but this is seemingly not the real thing. New reports claimed that the mini-series coming out soon on the streaming giant is merely an OVA called "Signs of Holy War."
Some manga enthusiasts who have been excited to see "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 were purportedly disappointed that Netflix allegedly mislabeled "Signs of Holy War" OVA as Season 2 when it's actually not. "Signs of Holy War" is indeed a sequel to the first season but it doesn't mean that it's the second season.
The OVA "Signs of Holy War" was reportedly aired in Japan back in 2016 as reported by Anime News Network last year. It's a TV special that ran for four weeks starting on Aug. 28, 2016 and was written by the same author Nakaba Suzuki.
That said, Netflix' trailer received some criticism from avid manga readers as per a report by Inquistr. Don't worry though as Season 2 of "The Seven Deadly Sins" is already confirmed so fans should just wait for its official air date.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Netflix' "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 showed Princess Elizabeth and some flashbacks on the search for the holy knights. Some magic, attacks and the knights were featured too.
"The Seven Deadly Sins" is a Japanese manga series that is set in an era similar to the European Middle Age where a princess needs to search for a group of knights to save her kingdom. Called the Seven Deadly Sins, the seven knights were originally a team from Britannia who apparently met their defeat from the Holy Knights. Believing that the knights are still alive, Princess Elizabeth started a journey to gather the Seven Deadly Sins once again to save the King from the enemies.
