'Overwatch' Roadhog Can Still One-Shot These Heroes After The PTR Patch; DPS, Tank & Support Heroes Revealed
Keisuke AkioThe upcoming "Overwatch" update tweaked Roadhog in the PTR. The number of DPS, Tank and support heroes who can still be one-shot with his combo has ultimately changed.
The recent adjustments to Roadhog's hook and scrap gun spread in the "Overwatch" PTR, have changed the heroes that can be one-shot with his combo. The recent changes disable Roadhog to melee after the first shot. In addition, the 3.5-meter range set for him is too far a distance for the move to hit. This might disallow you from grabbing the kill if you get an unlucky bullet spread.
DPS Heroes
Most "Overwatch" DPS heroes will still get one-shot by the Roadhog combo. Some will, however, require you to move closer to the target to actually get the kill.
With Bastion, you can still One-shot on the live servers, but you cannot straight out kill Bastion in the PTR even if you get closer. Genji, McCree, Pharah, Reaper and Soldier: 76 are "Overwatch" DPS Heroes that can be one-shot on both the live servers and in the PTR after the adjustments.
The same goes with Torbjorn, Tracer. Hanzo, on the other hand, can be one-shot on the live servers, but not on the PTR. His smaller hitboxes force you to move forward during the hook animation to ensure the kill.
Tank Heroes
Most "Overwatch" Tank heroes will survive the first shot. Among them includes D.Va, which, on Live server, combos take her down to about 40 percent. But on the PTR she is left with about 50 percent or more.
Similarly, Reinhardt could be taken to about 40 percent on live servers; while on the PTR, he is left with a sliver of his armor. Remarkably, Winston takes almost the same amount of damage on both the live servers and the PTR servers even with the decrease to his head's hitbox. While on live servers, Zarya can be killed with a shot-hook-shot combo. However, that combo will not always kill her on the PTR.
Support Heroes
Like most "Overwatch" DPS heroes, the Support characters typically die on the first shot after the hook. Among them is Ana, who can be one-shot on the live servers. But after the adjustments, you will need to move in closer for the kill.
On the other hand, Lucio, Mercy, and Zenyatta could be one-shot on both the live servers and in the PTR after the adjustments. Symmetra, however, could be one-shot on both the live servers, but not at all times, says PVP Live.
