The "Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC will feature a new game mode, new elite class and two new operations, among others. The upcoming DLC is expected to be released in March 2017.

"Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC, also known as French DLC, is the game's first ever expansion. DICE has revealed details of new content, including new sets of weapons and ranks. More medals, dog tags, service stars, and codices will also be featured in They Shall Not Pass.

New Game Mode

The upcoming "Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC will introduce a new game mode called Frontlines. In this new game mode, players will experience a combination of Conquest and Rush as they fight for restrained control points in a tug-of-war frontline.

In Frontlines, both teams fight for one flag at a time and once this objective is completed the action moves on to the next. When you capture the enemy's HQ control point, the game transforms into a Rush-style section where telegraph posts need to be defended or attacked.

New Elite Class

"Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC will feature a new elite class known as the Trench Raider. This elite class is equipped with unique melee skills. Trench Raider is described as armed with the brutal club and remarkable grenade arsenal. It is a terrifying sight one would not wish to encounter in combat.

New Operations

One of the new operations that will be featured with "Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC is the Devil's Anvil. This operation will stage the initial fighting in the opening barrage of Verdun Heights and progress into Fort de Vaux. Beyond the Marne is the other new operation included in the upcoming French DLC. The operation will reportedly start at Soissons and end in Rupture, according to Symthic.
