'Dishonored 2' Review Says Gameplay is Awesome, But The Story Not So Much
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Dishonored 2," being Arkane Studios' continuity to the successful predecessor, has shown immense promise since its announcement and with its recently teased videos. Those who managed to get their hands on its entirety, a few bits of feedback explain what makes it quite the formidable game to play.
According to a recent review by PC Power Play, "Dishonored 2" follows through with its context story, tackling on the tale of Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano as they go up against a new and powerful opposition. However, despite the promising story, it is said to not be as appraisable as the gameplay mechanic itself.
"Dishonored 2" previously suggested that it can be finished in ways that a player can choose from, primarily whether in front-up violence or with a more tactical, stealthy approach. Regardless of their idea, players can opt to be either abusive of the powers from either Emily or Corvo, or to achieve the missions with a purely mortal state.
Appraisal also goes to the maps of "Dishonored 2," such as the clockwork tower. The manner wherein the structure requires the player to use logic, photographic memory and personal strategies to reveal the way is more than appealing to players. Generally, the story may lead players to locations in which the action builds up, even if it does not entirely present much in the canon.
Natural physics also grant the users something to like more in "Dishonored 2." One example is how a player may not intend to kill an opposition -- such as with a tranquilizer dart -- but given that they stand by a ledge or building, they could fall to their deaths.
"Dishonored 2" launched in November 11, 2016, where Empress Emily Kaldwin was removed from her throne. She now ventures into a vengeful quest to regain her place, along with her mentor and "Dishonored" lead Corvo Attano, to take on the crooked governance that lies within the Dunwall Tower.
