‘Death Stranding’ Release Date, News & Update: Kojima To Treat Players With Humor As They Overcome Tough Challenges
Ritwik RoyHideo Kojima's "Death Stranding" won't be a horror game, strictly speaking, and the game will have an artistic tilt. Kojima recently confirmed this adding that despite the dark tone of the game, it will have plenty of humor. He feels humor is a very important aspect of video games as it helps players go through the tough challenges easily. Moreover, the game is quite big and will lead players through valleys and peaks. Humor will be a welcome respite in such times. However, Kojima promised that the humor won't destroy the world setting.
According to Gaming Bolt, "Death Stranding" release date has already been finalized by the developer but has not been made public yet. Moreover, the game will be strictly a PS4 title and not PS5. Meanwhile, "Casino Royale" and "Hannibal" actor Madds Mikkelsen will be part of the game and he will be the alien, bad guy. This has been confirmed by a trailer from The Game Awards. In fact, Mikkelsen himself has confirmed his role and recently revealed a bit more about his character in the newest episode of Kojima's "HideoTube" series.
Mikkelsen has stated that he has complete trust in Kojima and that he would deliver a brilliant end product that gamers will enjoy thoroughly. Apart from him, "The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus will play the lead. "Pacific Rim" director Guillermo del Toro also appears in the game, reports Game Spot. A 2018 release of "Death Stranding" is highly rumored and Kojima Productions is currently working with publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment. Watch the full video below.
"Everything is created by you guys. We [the actors] are there as a base, but everything else will be created. So obviously we have to trust you a lot because we have no idea what it's going to be--we can only imagine it. We only have our imaginations to work with. No sets. No nothing," Mikkelsen tells Kojima and his team in the video.
