PlayStation Plus Free Access For A Week; Here's How To Take Advantage of It

Sony's PlayStation Plus online service is being offered free for an entire week from Feb. 17 - Feb. 23 in the United States and Feb. 22 - Feb. 26 in Europe. Another good news is that owners don't need to sign up to anything to take part of it.

"All you need to do is get comfy, pick out your favorite games from your collection, pop them in your PS4 and you'll find all the online modes unlocked and ready to play," reads the official PlayStation blog post. With this, owners don't really lose anything if they try it out and they might also realize that PlayStation Plus will take them places to encounter gamers who share the same ideas with them.

After the PlayStation Plus free trial, owners can sign up for 12 months membership or $59.99 in the United States and £39.99 in the United Kingdom. According to a report, for owners who have a full PlayStation Plus membership can have access to two PlayStation 4 games each month along with discounts on PlayStation Store.

Earlier, the access to the online world of the PlayStation network used to be free of charge. Now that owners will have to pay for it monthly or annually to access multiplayer and online content through the PlayStation Plus subscription, it's been apparently a profitable move by Sony, which leads the company to invest more infrastructure and features.

The company though, has pushed a treat for all owners as a grace of goodwill through this free of charge promotion. Reports also say that this doesn't need to any credit card credentials or financial details to take advantage of this free offer.

Sources say that for those who are in Europe, they will not get the same deal with those in North America but they will have four days of free access to PlayStation Plus with the dates mentioned above. Not bad, folks!
