'Battlefield 1' Latest News: Hidden Dog Tag; 'A Beginning,' The Very First Easter Egg Discovered!
Keisuke AkioThe very first "Battlefield 1" Easter egg has been discovered. Solving this rewards the player a unique dog tag.
DANNYonPC announced on Reddit that he obtained a hidden dog tag in "Battlefield 1" with a text "A Beginning." The item was unlocked after he has deciphered numerous Morse codes and after completing the Headphone Easter Egg.
This hunt is similar to the previous ones in "Battlefield 4," like the Phantom Program. However, the "A Beginning" Easter egg is a lot more complicated. The community is working at present on cracking what comes next; but here is how you get started.
First, you need to find a pair of headphones on one of the "Battlefield 1" maps. To do this, it is best to empty servers until a pair can be located, then pick them up. Fortunately, the community has documented everywhere the headphones can spawn.
Subsequently, players need to approach the hidden MCOM and record the audio by pressing play. From this point, things get more complicated, so players will want to watch the embedded video carefully to learn how to use software. This is to extract the audio and import it into Audacity for manipulation.
No doubt, "Battlefield 1" easter eggs is one of the most complicated to come out of the franchise. The bragging rights and rewards would be hopefully be worth it for the players who made it through the whole experience. Also, take note that this is only the first part of the full easter egg chain. It is best to anticipate that things could get even more difficult before the end.
The embedded video walks you through all of the steps needed to obtain the hidden dog tags in "Battlefield 1" but, as you will observe, it is not going to be an easy feat. There is also a more comprehensive guide in text about the easter egg in Game Detectives, if you prefer it over the video. Those who want to complete this easter egg must be very dedicated to the cause
